Billing and credits
Unio Cloud is prepaid. You top up credit, resources meter hourly against it, and no resource ever costs more in a month than its published monthly price. There is no contract, no minimum term and no surprise invoice.
How the meter works
- Every hour, we look at what you have running and deduct the hourly rate from your credit. A server you run for 6 hours costs 6 hourly units, not a month.
- Charges for a resource stop at its monthly cap. Run a €7.79 server all month and you pay €7.79, never more, even though the month has 744 hours.
- A stopped server still bills: it holds its disk and IP. Delete it to stop paying.
- Your balance and every charge are visible under Billing & credentials.
What things cost
| Resource | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Servers | from €4.99 / month | hourly rate, capped at the monthly price. Includes NVMe disk, 20 TB traffic and one public IPv4. |
| Volumes | €0.040 / GB / month | billed for provisioned size, attached or not. |
| Object storage | €4.99 / TB / month | first 100 GB free per account, no request fees. |
| Object storage egress | €0.99 / TB | first 1 TB free every month. |
| Extra floating IPs | €1.99 / month | each server's first public IP is included. |
All prices exclude VAT, which is added at top-up according to your country and status.
If your balance runs out
Nothing is deleted the moment you hit zero. Your servers keep running through a grace period of at least 6 hours, so a late top-up costs you nothing. After that, servers are suspended, not destroyed: they stop consuming credit and their disks are kept. Top up and they resume automatically on the next hourly cycle.
Keep a small buffer of credit if you run anything you care about, and treat the balance chip in the console as your fuel gauge: it turns red at zero.
Top-ups and refunds
Top up by card through our European payment provider. Credit does not expire. Unused credit is refundable within the statutory withdrawal window; consumed usage is not, for obvious reasons.
